This geodesic dome was manufactured & erected by Constructional Timber for Kier Moss. The dome spans 35m and has 132 galvanised mild steel brackets & 5060 bolts. Constructional Timber also carried out the connection design of the steel nodes for the dome, which was manufactured from European Whitewood Glulam. The dome was constructed as part of the Academy building – one of three buildings undertaken by Constructional Timber at Abraham Darby Sports & Learning Community. As well as the glulam members, the roof also had 60mm thick trianglular CLT roof panels which were also supplied & erected by Constructional Timber.
