LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) is used in the construction of new buildings as well as the restoration of existing structures. LVL is a product of 3mm rotary-peeled veneers of Spruce being laminated together to form a single billet, which is then cut to the client’s desired size and can be used in a variety of applications including beams, posts & panels. Thicknesses range from 27mm to 90mm with a maximum length of 26m. The numerous veneers result in LVL being a very stable product with excellent bending resistance and mean that the natural defects of solid section timber eg. twisting, bowing & splitting are minimised. LVL is fire-safe and all timber used is PEFC certificated.
