Laminated Veneer Lumber
(LVL)

What is Laminated Veneer Lumber?

LVL is made from dried and graded wood veneers which are layered upon each other and bonded together under extreme heat and pressured into large moisture resistant panels known as billets.

LVL has a variety of different uses such as beams, trusses and Timber Structures. When this is cross bonded this can be used for both wall and floor panels with a load-bearing capacity.

What are the benefits of LVL?

LVL has a reputation for being an extremely strong, reliable and stable wood that can be easily engineered without the worry of bowing, twisting and shrinking.

LVL's accessibility makes it extremely appealing as most sizes are stocked here in the UK.

The High elasticity of the timber opens up more options with regard to the design and the use of smaller material cross sections.
