We are pleased to announce one of our projects was showcased in the latest episode of Extraordinary Extensions, Project Radial is an extension project designed to create a new swimming pool, sauna and gym area, all while keeping with the curvature of the existing Building to form a circular courtyard in their back garden.
In Partnership with Fabric Design and Build, Constructional timber was tasked with the detailing, manufacture and installation for all the glulam on project radial.
The project showcases European Spruce for the internal beams and a curved European Larch beam which sits externally.
The choice behind using glulam as a key feature in his extension for the project was due to the clients love for all things timber. They wanted to create a environmentally friendly eco space while keeping with the original curvature of the building. With glulam being such a versatile construction material we were able to create a curved glulam beam which matched the radius of the original house.
All the timber in this project is 100% PEFC certified which ties in with the customers aim of creating an eco-friendly private swimming pool.
